The most striking feature of the Ulysse Nardin Hourstriker is the elegant and painstakingly detailed hour-striker mechanism. The watch features a life-like Jaquemart that strikes a platinum bell every hour on a a gorgeous lapis lazuli dial. Unlike the time function of the watch, the hourstriker needs to be manually wound and will automatically chime on the hour the same amount of times as the current hour and a single time on each half hour. Lastly, the case back is transparent and the watch securely fastens to the wrist with a blue alligator leather strap with a deployment buckle.
